This is my first ever podcast! It officially signifies the beginning of Sincerely Adorned as a working website, and I am so excited for whatever God wants to do through this. Thanks for taking this ride along with me, we’ll work out the bumps along the way. For the full text that goes along with this podcast, please click right here —>

Welcome to Sincerely Adorned, an online discipleship course for women.

The Best News Ever!

Did you know that God’s love for you is the most sincere love you could ever experience? And you don’t have to do anything to achieve it, He already loves you as you are. But in order to be with Him and experience His love to the fullest, you must be His child. This means you need to acknowledge your sin, ask for forgiveness, and believe that Jesus died for your sins personally.

“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes…” (Romans 1:16)

Everything was already done for your salvation when Jesus lovingly took your place as He died on the cross. He raised from the dead three days later and now He is thoughtfully preparing a place for all His children in Heaven! It is His desire to adorn you with the incorruptible beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit (1 Peter 3:4). The purpose of Sincerely Adorned is to help us understand God’s unconditional and sincere love for us, along with His desire to adorn us with true, godly beauty.

Before I tell you how God put this on my heart and worked out all the details, I think introductions are in order. My name is Kristin Spencer and I am 30 years old. My personal testimony is full of ups and downs, but am blessed by God’s enduring love and guidance since I rededicated my life to Jesus Christ 12 years ago. I am amazed by God’s faithfulness, grace, and mercy towards me, and I am beyond humbled to share the lessons God has taught me with you. The only qualifications I can offer you about myself are that I am a sinner, so I am qualified to talk about sin, I am saved by an amazing Savior, and filled with the Holy Spirit, Who I pray is actually the One putting this whole thing together. There are a few other things you might be interested to know about me. I am the wife of an amazing man of God and the mother of the three most incredible blessings I could never imagine. My husband and I are living in Athens, Greece as full time missionaries, watching God unveil his plan for our family one day at a time.

Since the moment I rededicated my life at 18 years of age, my heart has been burdened for young people that do not understand God’s unconditional love for them. I remember how lost and unloved I felt growing up. I was confused and desperate. I tried everything I possibly could to achieve human love, but nothing satisfied my longing. God has patiently worked with me since that time to help me understand His love for me, and the devil’s desire to devour me. These are the lessons I want to share with you. I have been praying about sharing on a larger scale for years, and recently I felt God compelling me to put this website together. I pray it honors Him and blesses you.

My heart is not for you to think of this as a “teaching” website. I want you to imagine that you and I are sitting down to tea, and discussing our walks and God’s word. The most valuable lessons I have learned from other women have come from these types of situations. I am eternally grateful for all of the women that have poured into me over the years. However, I also want to challenge you to spend time alone with God in His word, and in prayer. That has to come first! In my personal experience, the conversations I have had with God over the years have been the most fruitful and have been filled with more wisdom than I could have possibly imagined. Get alone with your God and share with Him, listen to Him, and learn from Him!

I also want this to be a two-way discussion. I know some of my ideas may seem pretty extreme to you. I remember thinking the same things about godly advice and wisdom I received from older sisters in the faith when I was a young Christian. But please do not hesitate to share your concerns and questions in the comment fields below each post. If you want to talk about something more personal, you are more than welcome to send me an email at I will answer as quickly as I am able.

All of the “discussions” on this website will be presented in two forms, audio and text. Please use whichever option you feel most comfortable with. The audio options will be posted at the top of each discussion with the link to the corresponding Podcast. You can also use the audio versions for group meetings and use the questions at the end of each discussion as a basis for your group conversation.

The discussions will be split into two groups, “Women’s Discipleship” and “Preparing for the Foreign Mission Field.”

But before we actually get into any discussions or questions, let’s start with prayer.

Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank You so much for Your amazing love for each of us. I pray that You and You alone would speak. Please help me to be filled with Your Holy Spirit, and to only speak Your ideas, based on scripture, and not my own. Please guide my sister in her walk with You and meet her as she seeks to know You better. I pray that we would lift each other up and grow in our walks together as we grow towards You! Thank You for the opportunities You give us to build each other up, and I pray that You would continue to do a mighty work for Your kingdom.

To You be all the glory, Lord!

A Note About Translation

As a missionary my heart is also to have this translated into as many languages as possible, so feel free to use these materials in a way that will benefit your walk (or the walks of others) with Christ. If you are interested in translating any of my material I only ask that you email me first, and please take cultural sensitivity into consideration. I will do my best throughout this series to address different aspects of the topics in relation to as many cultures as I can, but my experiences are extremely limited.
